Gordy’s Logo Rebrand
For this project we needed to redesign a logo. I’ve worked at Gordy’s for a couple years now and love their passion for flavor and unique experiences. They’ve been open for 27 years now and haven’t changed much in their aesthetics. I decided to modernize their logo with the goal to update their look and get them more exposure to newer audiences.
Throughout the process I completed a process design booklet that also helps grasp the updated visual identity that I developed. I also went in depth about their background, their mission statement, vision, brand values, consumer insights and more to showcase the design decisions I made.
I kept it unique to them still by using their icon and color choices but wanted to distinguish them from other Asian restaurants utilizing the font style and placement. Another intent was to attract younger audiences than their current age demographic being older in age.
